What does it do

 

Flexible and and easy to use, this module allow you to "move" your store on Facebook.

Requirements:   

Opencart    v. 1.5.1.x  -  1.5.5.1

How to install it:

 

To update to Facebook Store v. 2.0 , please first uninstall previous version of Facebook Store Basic 

-    Unzip and upload the contents of “upload” directory to the root directory of your OpenCart installation, preserving directory structure

 

* [english] and [default] means that if you have different language and theme just copy in your language and theme

 

We need a facebook page and application (required for comments box that appear under each product).

 

Facebook Step 1: Creating a Facebook Application: 

• Go to https://developers.facebook.com and click Apps

 

On right corner click Create new App

Give a name to Your Application

 

 

Site URL need to have same value (like you defined in config.php); 

Now go to Admin Area and install Facebook Store Module.

Extension -> Module  , than search for "Facebook Store" and Click "Install".

After that click  Edit on "Facebook Store Basic".

In version 2.0 you can choose products that you want to show on Facebook Store Basic.

Just Copy "Generated code". We need this later.

 

 Facebook Step 2: Create Facebook Fan Page (if you don't have one)

 

Go to Facebook.com

 

 

Choose Category you want. In this case we choosed "Local bussines or place"

Fill required fields.

 

In this steps you customize your Facebook Page how you want.

After we customize your your page we want to show shop on facebook page. 

How we do this?

 

See below:  Go to https://apps.facebook.com/static_html_plus/  and click on "Add Static Html to a Page"

Choose your page name.

You will see that "Welcome" appear in menu.

Click on tab Welcome.

 

Click Edit on tab "Public content"

 

• and then Paste code (from box "Generated code" - from Facebook store module)

After adding code Click Save & publish. 

Click on "HTML Setting" (button) and check option like below and click Save.

Don't forget to click save button.

Now We have our store on Facebook.

How to change from "Welcome" to "Store" (or other text)

 

Do this steps.

If you don't see Welcome, click on arrow from right side.

 

Click edit setting  (see arrow)

Set new name.

I want to be notified in my Facebook account when somebody add a comment? How I do?

 

Because FB Store Bas not have a product page we need to do a trick:

in catalog/controller/common/header.php add line marked with red.

In catalog/view/theme/your_theme_name/common/header.tpl add line marked with red (like bellow)

If you forgot to add domain when you created Facebook application, do this:

• login to Facebook Developers
• select your application
• add domain and store url

 

After that:

• Login to your facebook account (application admin). 
• Go to your facebook store page click on comments icon on product and will see :

If you are admin (facebook application admin) then you see area marked with red rectangle.

Click on Settings
